Cheap red-light wraps only use visible red light (660nm). That stops at the skin — so people say “red light doesn’t go deep”. They are right about those wraps. What about thick or dark coats?
Short coats let the most light through, which is why we built the vest for Dachshunds, Frenchies, Corgis and similar breeds. Dark coats absorb a bit more light, so use the higher setting from the Protocol Card. For very thick double coats, part the fur under the panel.
